SURGICAL DEPARTMENT

INTRODUCTION

Surgical department has two units, Surgical Unit-I and Surgical Unit-II, having indoor capacity of 120 beds with VIP rooms for officers and private patient. The beds for critical patients have the facility of vital signs monitor, central supply of oxygen, and central suction facilities. Surgical department is always headed by highly qualified surgeons.

OPERATION THEATER

POF Hospital have state of the art operation theaters, each OT is equipped by imported OT tables, having all the modern facilities, best operation lights, ventilators and vital signs monitor. Each OT has got a team of well trained personals. It has separates OTs for General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Urology, Orthopedic Surgery, Gyaenacology / Obs surgery, Burn Surgery and Ophthalmology and ENT.

INTENSIVE CARE UNIT

POF Hospital has well equipped Intensive Care Unit attached with Operation Theater to provide best post operation care to the patient. Each ITC bed is provided by ventilator, vital signs monitor, central oxygen supply and suction. ITC beds are moved by electronic system. Team of qualified nursing staff is available round the clock.

CSSD

BURN CENTER

POF Hospital has a state of the Art Burn Center since 1990. It is the only Burn Center in whole of the North of Pakistan. Burn Center has the capacity of 15 beds, Five in ITC and 10 beds in High Dependency Unit. Each bed is provided by ventilator and central oxygen supply, suction and vital signs monitor. Burn Center has got separate operation theater and looked after by a very experienced and competent team.
